Fill in the Blanks

Early Finishing Activities:

For anyone who finishes work early, here are some early finishing activities:

English:
Can you use your new key words in a conversation? Did you spot them in a book you are reading? Have you heard them in a cartoon or movie?
The Blizzard! - do you remember when we had lots of snow a few years ago? Write a short story or draw a picture explaining what you did, your favourite snow activity or how you felt and why!
Over The Moon interactive resources may also be fun, you can revise units 1-8 :)

Maths:
Be
sure to watch the video under the heading maths as it has some early finishing ideas at the start!

If you are on a walk, can you spot patterns? What kind? Can you make your own pattern using items from your garden or home? Send them in to us!

Irish:
Bí ag caint! Look through the vocabulary pages and use as many Irish words as you can during the day! You could also use paper and make snap cards! So if you wanted to play snap with your family, make two pictures of every word (be sure to write the spelling underneath and keep the pictures the same eg draw the same picture twice for one word so you can tell easily if it's a snap). Once you've checked using your vocab pages you have all the right spellings and you have two of everything, with an adult, get a scissors, cut them out, mix them up and now you are ready to play!

Religion:
Colour anything that hasn't been coloured so far, put on calming music and use this as mindful colouring where you just try to focus on the colour you are using.

Sese:
Say cheese! Arrange photos into a photo album with the help of an adult or look at photos and talk about what is happening in them with an adult.
